At Lakou, a cultural yard and culinary hub in the heart of Little Haiti, I partner with the owner, marketing manager, kitchen manager, and social media team to shape a cohesive visual story for the brand. My focus is to keep the “Beat of Little Haiti” alive across every touchpoint—from the website and menus to outdoor signage and digital campaigns—so guests feel the same energy online that they experience in the yard.
In the hospitality, culinary, and cultural events industry, my role at Lakou is to connect the brand’s cultural heartbeat with clear, engaging visual communication across print, web, on-site signage, and email.
Key Achievements- Helped unify the look and feel of physical and digital materials, strengthening brand recognition for both locals and first-time visitors.
- Improved the visibility of events and kitchen residencies by keeping the website and email announcements aligned and up to date.
- Supported list growth and engagement by refining Mailchimp audiences and creating visually engaging, mobile-friendly email campaigns.
- Enhanced the on-site guest experience with clear, vibrant signage and maps that make the yard easier to navigate and more inviting.
Working with Lakou has allowed me to blend hospitality, culture, and design into one continuous experience— from the first email or Instagram post to the moment guests step into the yard. It’s an ongoing collaboration where my creativity directly supports community, food, and storytelling in Little Haiti.
